Take Home The Unknown

What catches your eye when you don’t know what you’re looking for? Take Home the Unknown features artwork by 100 artists, musicians, chefs, writers, actors, and local luminaries, all priced at only $100*. The catch? All of the works are anonymous.

Hosted by eTalk’s Zain Meghji, guests have 2 hours to buy any of the artworks displayed–come early for the best selection! Hints will be given; incentives will be dangled. When the clock runs out, artists will be revealed, and purchasers will get to see whose work they’ll be taking home.

Proceeds will support SAVAC, the only non-profit, artist-run centre in Canada dedicated to supporting South Asian artists. For over 20 years, SAVAC has increased the visibility of culturally diverse artists by curating and exhibiting their work, providing mentorship, and facilitating professional development. Your purchase will help support SAVAC in continuing to play a vital role in Canada’s visual arts ecology by expanding the frameworks that support culturally diverse perspectives.
