Transforming the Guru is a panel discussion that explores the influence of feminism on the male dominated guru parampara of South Asian dance and miniature painting. The panel features Ananya Chatterjea (dancer/choreographer/academic), Gitanjali Kolanad (dancer/choreographer) and visual artists Ambreen Butt and Talha Rathore. The panelists will speak about their own practice and engage in a dialogue across disciplines with moderator Dr. Gillian McCann.

South Asian Gallery of Art (SAGA) and Art Square Gallery present "Gendering Detail", featuring the work of four female contemporary artists skilled in the technique of South Asian miniature painting.

The Flowering Tree retells an ancient folk-tale, about a young woman who has the ability to turn herself into a tree, which blossoms with intoxicatingly fragrant flowers.
