EMIT…EMIT…EMIT………
Young Artists explode on the Toronto arts scene. STOP. Mutant humanoid figures…. doctored passports….digitally-enhanced portraits …nomadic tales …spicy girls….beds & chains….inner city angst….and lots of other weird and wonderful stuff! STOP.

This project brings together Toronto-based artists emerging from the strudfio art department of the Ontario College of Art and Design (Ocad) and York University. This project supports artists of South Asian descent who have recently completed their art training, through the opportunity for collaborating and creating links with other artists in the city and SAVAC. The artists in this exhibition are working in a range of media, including painting, book-works, mixed-media and sculpture/installation. This project was developed through the collaborative efforts of a selection committee consisting of SAVAC and Gallery 76 members.
