ABOUT SAVAC
SAVAC is a Toronto-based, artist-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and presentation of new works in contemporary visual art by artists of South Asian origin. We choose to be an artist-run centre without a gallery space to better integrate South Asian artists in the visual arts sector and to reflect Canada’s cultural diversity. Our mission is to promote excellence, professionalism and innovation in visual arts programming that critically explores the issues and ideas shaping South Asian identities and experiences.
